Tuesday, June 20 — Unconference
The Unconference will be at our secondary Toulouse venue, EPITECH.
9:00 - 9:30 – Welcome and Agenda Planning
Meet the group, greet old friends, and help plan the afternoon's topics.
9:30 - 12:30 – Eclipse January Workshop
The Eclipse January project provides standardized numerical arrays in Java that are similar to the popular numpy library. This library is used extensively at Diamond Light Source for managing the data, lazy loading, python integration, and plotting as part of DAWNSci. Eclipse January is also used for IoT applications such as edge processing.
This workshop will provide an introduction to the API and key features such as slicing and lazy loading of data, plus computational functionality. Beginners are welcome. The workshop will be delivered by the project lead Peter Chang of Diamond Light Source alongside committer Tracy Miranda of Kichwa Coders.
To register for the workshop, please complete this Google form.
14:00 - 17:30
As in previous years, after lunch we will meet to share project updates, work on code sprints, and discuss the topics most important to those in the room.
